Simmers Blog:

TICKLED

Dear reader, I strongly advise you not to visit this woefully boring blog, but to click on home and visit much more delighful areas of the website.

A wierd couple weeks. I was sick of course. After traveling and with my daughter starting out at a new school, I suppose it was unavoidable. I completely blew my running schedule and am having a heck of a time getting back on it. All I want to do is sit around and eat chocolate eclairs...and no, I'm not pregnant. OK, tomorrow, for sure, I'll start again. heh

Um..what else...I also IMed with my friend in Asia or rather she IMed me. (Hi KAREN and LANDON!) who are returning for a visit in the summer. Let's see, I joined mensa (I know, I know....) but well, I finally broke down and did it. I have this strange suspicion it may have something to do with marketing or the government - or both. :D My daughter's school had a mother's day party that was lovely. My daughter wants to take me to Denny's for our mother's day lunch hmmm....I think she likes the smiley face pancakes. Oh, and if you couldn't tell from the opening line, I also finally caught "Lemony Snicket's; A Series of Unfortunate Events."

SIMS: I am currently putting together a few sets, but I am mostly learning about mapping - mapping *well* that is. My next update should contain some actual furniture which will be fun. Also, I have to put together a donation area because that Amazon thing still isn't working...er...at all. LOL. Zero, Zip, Nada.

I'm pysched that Nightlife is coming out soon - in the fall anyway. Yeah! It does sound a bit like Hot Date revisited tho. Hope they don't put out all the same expansions.

HAPPY MAY TO EVERYONE!

OOOPS - NO NEW PIC!

I have determined that I am a terrible blogger. Whenever something remotely interesting happens, I forget to write about it. It's only after life has settled back into a normal pace that I remember I was blogging.

For example, in the past week, my mom left on a two month road trip for which I am trying to develop a website, my daughter started school and fell and hurt herself twice (once with an ER trip), our tax return came in, we decided that we really liked Spokane and are thinking about moving there, well...at least my daughter and myself (uh, hi mom, that kinda happened after you left - guess I'll talk to you about that later). We also went to the Science Center on Saturday in downtown Seattle near the Space Needle. Did I write about any of it as it was happening? No. :)

SIMS: I have made quite a lot of new object meshes now and I've seen tons of cool new things available for download on other sites - yay! It looks like the Sims2 community is really starting to pick up. My bandwidth is unbelievable and I'm just a small site. (not that I'm complaining!!!) Thank you everybody for visiting - I feel loved - lol.

The UV thing is really tripping me up - Milkshape really bit... I mean, is inadequate for mapping IMHO. Lithunwrap isn't much better, but the UV map that my 3D program creates isn't "taking". I *am* going to have some new objects available for the next update tho.

On another note, I am going to have to start a donation area because this whole Amazon thing is not working at all. Ah, well. Live and learn. Nothing I have yet is "good enough" for donation I think. I still have some learning to do and some waiting as well...for the creative inspiration.

STING!

Sorry for the lapse, but I was here:

Yay! I indulged my other single-sylable obsession last Monday. If you're an old time fan of the Police, I would highly recommend catching this concert tour.

Spokane and Eastern Washington was very nice as well - a sunny, dry break. I'm a bit sad to be back west of the mountains. I think seeing all those farms made me homesick for the midwest - lol.

SIMS: I found another Sims2 tool last night - the DatGen tool on TSR. So far, I installed it and opened two files;and encountered critical exceptions twice. I'll have to experiment more I think, but so far it doesn't appear to be working.

That's all for now. Too busy unpacking for much else.

SIMTENT

My first blog, how exciting, and on April Fools Day too. I guess if I get really lazy, I could just pretend it was all a joke.
SIMS: Update today with recolors and redos of some Maxis textures including the smoothed out dungaree tile and the stone walls that I love so much - thank you Maxis. Plus, my first new meshes - OK so they're just redo's of a Maxis mesh in Milkshape, but they're working! Yay! I am trying to learn how to *really* make new objs appear in the game, but I keep getting the error message in the Mesh Tool Wizard. Checking into that. I also picked up a book on C# and .net with the hopes that I'll be able to at least debug and see what I'm doing wrong - lol.

On a personal note, my daughter is going back to school soon at least for a while during the days:

(my little extrovert)

This in turn will leave me with more time for simming than I expected which is both a :) and a :(. Miss the small child, but nice to have the quiet time again.

Eeek I'm also wondering if I'm really going to post a pic of myself on these blogs - lol - much safer to put up a doll or a sim or something. I hope to blog much more frequently than I update the site tho, so I guess I'll have to find other things eventually.

Happy April Fool's Day Everyone!
